Readers of The Pizza Bible will know that there is within it an excellent no-cook pizza sauce recipe. If you have the time and the ingredients, it’s definitely worth making.
Some of the time, however, I find I haven’t quite got around to it, and I need to improvise something quickly. This one is quick and easy, but also makes a great sauce. You need:
- 1/2 a small (350g) jar of Cirio Passata Rustica
- 1/2 a jar of Sacla sun dried tomato paste
- Pinch of salt
- Squirt/glug of olive oil
- generous pinch of marjoram or oregano
Add everything to a small bowl and then stir it around quickly with a spoon. And that’s it. You need a couple of generous dessert spoonfuls per pizza.
